March 16, 2020
Dear ASM Parents and Students,
We hope this email finds each of you well and healthy. We are still processing the recent events that have affected all of us in one way or another, but we’ve made an important decision in an effort to protect our students and faculty during these difficult times. Out of an abundance of caution we’ve made the decision as of today March 16, 2020 to temporarily halt the face to face process of private lessons at the Aurora School of Music.
However, we are incredibly excited to announce that we are launching online virtual lessons. We’ve met with our technical team and they are currently working on the integration of our scheduling system and the software we will be using for this process. We will be sending out separate correspondence that will lay out all the details of this change and the admin staff will be in the office to help answer any questions and ease the transition for each of you as we move forward.
Any lessons that are cancelled during this transitional period until we go live with the online learning portal will be rescheduled with each student. Our admin staff will be available to work with students and parents to assist in the rescheduling process and as stated in previous emails, any makeups created during this period will be eligible through all of 2020.
We want to thank each of you for your patience and kindness. It has been truly inspirational how wonderful each of you has been while also dealing with your own situations during this time. It is our goal to continue providing the opportunity to keep up the momentum of each student’s musical skills, which have been earned by the students through their passion and hard work. We feel it is of the utmost importance to prevent any languishing of their skills, and we are happy to provide a sense of normalcy and connection during a stressful time.
