Bachelor of Music in Violin Performace and Pedagogy – Wheaton College, Illinois
Master of Music in Violin Performace – Cleveland Institute of Music

As the progeny of a musical home, Anna can hardly remember a time where she wasn’t playing or listening to music.  Her musical training began at the age of five on the piano, and at nine she added the violin as her primary instrument.  During her middle school and high school years, Anna was privileged to compete and perform extensively as a chamber musician and soloist in and around her native city of Chicago.  She had the honor of competing in the semi-finals of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, as well as was awarded First Prize and Honorable Mention in the Discover National Chamber Music Competition.  Anna has also performed as a soloist with the Knox-Galesburg Symphony, Lake Geneva Symphony, Rockford Youth Symphony, and the Oistrakh Symphony Orchestra

While receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Pedagogy at Wheaton College, Anna was privileged to serve as one of the co-concertmasters of the orchestra for three consecutive years.  During her undergraduate studies she was also honored to be the winner of Wheaton College’s Concerto Competition and Chamber Music Competition.

As a teacher, Anna kept a small studio of her own students during her collegiate studies.  She has worked as an assistant chamber music coach and teacher’s assistant in the Community School of the Arts in Wheaton, Illinois, as well as taught on the faculty of the Veritas Music and Learning Center.  She greatly enjoys the opportunity to combine her love of music with her love for interacting with people of all ages when she is privileged to teach violin.

Anna is currently studying under the instruction of Jan Mark Sloman at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she is pursuing her Master’s of Violin Performance.
