The Lessons We Offer
The Aurora School of Music offers lessons and ensemble opportunities on nearly every instrument found in an orchestra or popular music group. Whether you would like to learn how to play the piano, drums, violin, guitar, or learn how to sing, we would love to work with you.
Piano Lessons
Our skilled faculty can help you learn the piano from scratch, break through the intermediate skill plateau, or prepare for college or grad school auditions. We use a repertoire-first approach to piano teaching, and you will learn how to sight read, play with proper technique, play by ear, and much more. All ages and skill levels are welcome, so whether it’s you or your child who would benefit from learning the piano, get in touch for a free trial lesson.
Voice Lessons
Do you want to sing in musical theatre productions, audition for a community choral group, or participate in singing at your place of worship? Our teachers can help you find your voice or build on your pre-existing skill set. Learn proper vocal production, different techniques for different styles, how to breathe effectively, and how to choose vocal literature that will help you show off your abilities.
Guitar Lessons
The guitar is one of the most versatile instruments we teach, so if you want a well-rounded and fundamentally sound guitar education, contact us for a free trial as soon as possible. Learn scales, chord and finger picking techniques, how to read music or lead sheets, and more. Our guitar students play jazz, blues, classical music, and everything in between, and our faculty would enjoy working with you.
Drum and Percussion Lessons
Our students play in jazz ensembles, rock bands, orchestras, and wind bands, so whether you want percussion lessons or a drum-specific education, our teachers would love to work with you.
