Olena Aleksieieva was born and raised in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. Her piano studies began at the age of 6 and led her all the way to graduating from the Mariupol College of Arts and the Sergei Prokofiev Conservatory in Donetsk, Ukraine. Olena was a piano teacher for 17 years in Ukraine until 2022 when she moved to the United States. Her students have repeatedly become laureates of all-Ukrainian and international competitions. She has taught privately to more than 150 students, preparing them for recitals, competitions, contests and concerts.
Apart from teaching, Olena accompanies a wide range of instrumentalists and vocalists in classical repertoire, including professional touring musicians and national performances. She has also participated in the Summer Music Academy as part of Mariupol Department of Culture’s National Multidisciplinary Showcase. From 2020-2022, Olena worked at the Mariupol Musical College of Culture and Arts, providing accompaniment to international level students in a variety of instruments, genres, and skill levels.
Olena has been in the USA for 2 years. She currently collaborates with the Cleveland Ballet as a company
pianist, has had a collaboration with the Singers Club in Cleveland, and has taught piano at different music
centers in the Northeast Ohio area. She performs as the piano player of the Ukrainian group U4U Band, which created to popularize Ukrainian modern and national music, and has had performances at the Maltz Center for Culture and the Arts, and the Cleveland Public Theater. She is also a proud member of the American Music Abroad project where she has collaborated with musicians of various styles.
