Abigail McLaughlin is a violinist and music educator in northeast Ohio. She performs regularly with the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Western Reserve, and Youngstown Symphony, and has performed with music festivals across the country and internationally. Abigail is deeply passionate about string pedagogy and music education. In 2015 she was one of the founding members of Warren Philharmonic’s ‘Strings of Joy’ music outreach program, and she was adjunct faculty of strings at Theil College from 2015 to 2017.

Abigail received her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance in 2015 from Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University, and her Master’s Degree and Professional Studies Certificate in Performance from Cleveland State University in 2019 and 2020, where she studied with Cleveland Orchestra Associate Concertmaster Peter Otto. Abigail became faculty at Aurora School of Music in 2017, and her students have gone on to perform with the Akron Philharmonic and Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, and to major or minor in music performance and composition.

Abigail’s favorite activities include studying, performing, and coaching chamber music, teaching her students and researching violin pedagogy, reading classic literature, and participating in church activities.
