Anastasiia Vovna is a passionate pianist, educator, and researcher from Ternopil, a historic city in western Ukraine. Her journey in music began at the young age of four, and she has dedicated 19 years to mastering her craft.

As a performer, Anastasiia has participated in numerous conservatory concerts and national competitions, earning accolades for her artistry. She achieved notable success by winning the Grand Prix at a prestigious competition, which awarded her a masterclass with the renowned Ukrainian singer Maria Krushelnytska.

In her academic pursuits, Anastasiia has contributed significantly to music research. She authored two groundbreaking studies on composers and their piano works: M. Ravel and his cycle Reflection and D. Ligeti and Modernism in the Musica Ricercata Cycle. Her work on Ligeti is especially noteworthy, as it remains the only scientific study on this subject in Ukraine.

Anastasiia’s career as an educator spans eight years, during which she has inspired and guided young pianists. Beginning in her third year of music college, she taught at the State Music School in her hometown, where her students consistently excelled in local and national competitions. In addition to teaching, she served as a concertmaster, collaborating with symphonic conductors at her Music Academy.

In her most recent role at the State Music College, Anastasiia worked on the piano faculty, teaching piano and serving as a concertmaster for both vocalists and instrumentalists.

Anastasiia describes her teaching philosophy as one that fosters a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. She values her students as special collaborators, saying:
“I believe that music should bring pleasure, regardless of the purpose of learning. My goal is to teach children to distinguish between styles in music, understand performance details, and feel the emotion behind the notes. Music is not just a skill but a way to connect and grow.”

She credits her success and love for music to her esteemed professors, Natalia Kravchuk and Myroslav Dragan, whose guidance profoundly shaped her artistry.
