Kathryn Stockmaster has earned her masters degree in performance from Kent StateUniversity and a B.M. from Cleveland State University.  She has been a member of theCleveland community for many years, involved in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony.  Kathryn has taught bassoonists of many ages all over northeastern Ohio, including Medina, Barberton, Mentor, and Kent.  She has also taught some bassoon method classes to music education majors.  As a performing graduate assistant at Kent State, she played with the orchestra, wind ensemble, several different chamber ensembles, including her woodwind quintet La Ragazze Lauriate, and the Kent bassoon ensemble.  Her teachers have included David DeBolt, Mark DeMio, Jonathan Sherwin, and Ron Phillips.
