Matthew DeRubertis

Matthew DeRubertis is an Akron based bassist, composer, performer, studio musician, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He has a passion for original music, playing and collaborating with numerous original artists, based in OH and around the country.

Matthew’s career shows his passion for education as he has been teaching since 2007 at various studios, privately, and formerly as the electric bass professor at Kent Stark University.

Whether a student is a beginner or a lifelong player, Matthew loves to meet a student where they are at and find some new exciting ground to explore musically, and build a well-rounded skill set. Matthew teaches electric bass, acoustic and electric guitars, and coaches bands.
