Ruoyao Li is an accomplished violinist currently pursuing Professional Study in Violin Performance
at the Cleveland Institute of Music, under the mentorship of Prof. Ilya Kaler and Dr. Olga Kaler. Li
has also earned an Artist Diploma and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the same
institution. Prior to this, Li completed a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at the Yong Siew
Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, studying under Prof. Qian Zhou.

Li has extensive experience in orchestral performance, having held positions with the Youngstown
Symphony Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Akron Symphony Orchestra, Canton Symphony, City
Music Cleveland Chamber Music Orchestra, and as a substitute for the Buffalo Philharmonic and
Mansfield Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Li has served as Concertmaster for the Gonggeng
International Music Festival Orchestra and Akron Symphony Orchestra.

His festival experience includes notable appearances at the Lexington Bach Festival, Bowdoin
International Music Festival, Sommermusik IM Oberen Nagoldtal Guzman masterclass, Gonggeng
International Chamber Music Festival, Liangchu International String Festival, Keshet Eilon
International String Summer Course, and Shanghai International String Festival. He also made his solo debut at the Tel-Aviv Arts Center in 2018.

He has attended masterclasses with renowned violinists and quartets, such as Boris Kuschnir,
Renaud Capucon, Midori, the Emerson String Quartet, and the Danish String Quartet, among
others.
