Steve Dorbish is a percussionist from Mineral Ridge, Ohio, with over 16 years of performance experience. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Performance from Youngstown State University in 2024.
Throughout his career, Steve has performed with and instructed a variety of ensembles, including marching bands, percussion ensembles, jazz bands, and pep bands. He is also an active performer with several touring bands based in the Youngstown and Akron, Ohio, areas.
As an educator, Steve is passionate about helping students develop not only their musical abilities but also valuable life skills such as discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and goal setting. He believes that music provides a powerful creative outlet while fostering confidence and personal growth.
Outside of music, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, Maggie, and their two cats, George and Genevieve. He is excited to be part of the Aurora School of Music and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of percussionists by sharing his enthusiasm, experience, and love of music.
