Yuhang Wang was born in Shenyang, China. He started playing piano at the age of four at the Liuning Piano Academy, and started to study with Vladimir Petruccio at age seven. In 2012, he started studying with Qifang Li in Beijing. The next year, Yuhang traveled between his hometown of Shenyang and Beijing to study with both Petruccio and Qifang.

In September of 2017, he began studying with world famous musician Sergei Babayan at the Cleveland Institute of Music. When he was six, he took part in a piano concert at the Liuning Piano Academy, playing Czerny and Shostakovich. Following that, he took part in multiple concerts presented by the Liuning Piano Academy, including the Liuning Piano Academy’s 10th Anniversary concert in 2008 and the 20th Anniversary concert in 2018. He also has had multiple recital experiences as a soloist, beginning with his first piano solo performance at the Baisi Music School in 2016. In 2017, he performed Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 3 with the Shenyang Youth Symphony.

In 2018 and 2019, he played his solo recital twice at the Liuning Piano Academy. In 2020, he played a solo recital in Kulas Hall at the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 2021, he performed Chopin Concerto no.1 with world famous conductor JoAnn Falletta and CIM orchestra.  In 2022, he performed Mozart concerto no.17 with Jake Taniguchi and CIM orchestra.

Yuhang has multiple completion experiences as well. The first competition was at the Liuning Piano Academy in 2006. He took part in the Beilei piano competition in 2011 and won second prize. In 2014, he took part in the Prime Golden Bell Music Award of China and won the first prize and the final grand prize. In 2015 and 2017, he participated in the Southern USA Chopin International Piano Competition in Texas and won first prize both years. He ranked first in the preliminary round of the Youth Chopin International Piano Competition in 2019.
