Aurora School of Music Summer Programs
Aurora School of Music is proud to be open all year long with continued lessons over the summer. On top of our regular lesson schedule, ASM offers two different summer programs for our students. Find out more below:
Summer Scenes is a specialized summer program offered for dedicated vocal students in grades 8-12. This two week intensive allows students to work with our voice faculty, a local director, and a choreographer. This year, our local director is Mr. Lucas Clark from Gilmour Academy. We are excited to welcome him to the team!
The Scenes program aims to ready students for what a showcase may look like at a collegiate level. Many degree programs in Musical Theater or other vocal performance avenues will require participation in a freshman and a senior showcase. In true showcase fashion, our two week intensive culminates into a wonderful showcase that is open to the public! Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7pm.
Aurora School of Music’s Orchestra and Chamber Music Camp is a two week collaborative music experience with the ASM Philharmonic Orchestra for students under the age of 18. This opportunity offers a two week Monday through Friday schedule with classes and professional orchestra training taught by our Resident Conductor, Yun Cao, and ASM faculty. This will be an exceptional resume building opportunity for dedicated music students!
