Meet This Year’s Soloists
Yun Cao is a proud alum of the Aurora School of Music. He tracks his musical upbringing and roots to ASM and Vera Holczer-Waroquet. Graduated summa cum laude from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, Yun studied with Joela Jones, Principal Keyboardist Emeritus of the Cleveland Orchestra; Victor Liva, Music Director of the Cleveland Philharmonic; and renowned organist Todd Wilson. Yun is often invited as an orchestral clinician in school both in South Florida and Northeast Ohio and is the Resident Conductor for the Aurora School of Music in Ohio.
Cole Krajewski is a long time student of the Aurora School of Music. His instructor, Mr. David quickly noticed a special talent within Cole. This will be Cole’s 3rd performance with the ASM Philharmonic and his first performance as a soloist for the orchestra concert when he performs Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate! Cole studies violin and percussion, but has a special passion for his violin studies. He participates in multiple ensembles and chamber groups at ASM and can be found on our chamber concerts, recitals, rock concerts, and more!
Founder and Director of the Aurora School of Music, Ms. Vera Holczer-Waroquet is excited to be returning to the stage as the soloist for the Mozart Piano Concerto No. 20. A native to Hungary, Ms. Vera followed her dreams and came to America to pursue her musical career. While attending UCLA she quickly fell in love with teaching. Fast forward to today and ASM is proud to be in its 21st year of providing world-class music education right here in Aurora, Ohio.
